been doodlin sum chars from a crappy epigonistic anime.
I liked them. The overall anime - fails, as usual.
The title itself would greatly benefit if the plot obeyed internal logic of characters and world relationship, unfolding some nice ideas, but the producers chose to use some cheap FMA-style cliches of unpersuasive military emo drama.

Oh my, this is beautiful to look at, really. Was this painted or has technology managed to get this far while I wasn't looking? I really like the effect you did to represent the blue light, really makes it look like a will-o'-the-wisp, blends in well with his jacket as well. And the height contrast I like very much too (seeing as this is how it's supposed to be in the manga, which the anime decided to change) since it gives the impression he's watching over her even though she's standing before him to protect him. The contrast of colours really works too, I find, suits the characters as well.
As for the anime, it might not be that great, but that's to be expected from an adaptation. They changed things here and there from the original manga, but at least it's still amusing to watch. (Though it's frustrating at times.)
